Happy Independence Day 2014

The Indian Independence Day, celebrated on 15 August every year, is a National Holiday in India commemorating the nation's independence from the British Govt. on 15 August 1947. India attained independence following an Independence Movement noted for largely non-violent resistance and civil disobedience led by the Indian National Congress. The holiday is celebrated throughout India with flag-hosting ceremonies, parades and cultural events. We Indians celebrate the day by displaying the national flag on our attire, accessories, homes and vehicles; by listening to patriotic songs, watching patriotic movies; and bonding with family and friends. Books and films feature the independence day and the people who were responsible to win our freedom. We are thankful and always remember Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Bhagat Singh, Lala Lajpat Rai, Ram Prasad Bismil, Chandrashekhar Azad, Ashfaqulla Khan and all those who sacrificed their lives for our Independence. We salute them !
